People always talk about what they do not have instead of giving thanks. Think about these things and be grateful. Some may not apply to everybody, but it applies to some.
Do you have drinking water? About 1.1 billion people in the world done have access to drinking water; even if you are drawing it out of your well or it is flowing from Government tap- it is one reason why you should give thanks
Do you eat three meals a day? I know not everyone of us eat three meals but it’s not because you cannot afford it, you choose not to. The WHO says one third of the population is overfed, one third is underfed and one third is starving. Now that means 1/3 of 7 billion people are starving everyday so why won’t you give thanks?
Do you have electricity? Please do not say No. Light may not be constant but you have electricity; some have generators. About 1.5 billion in this world have no access to electrical power.
Do you have a roof over your head? UN commission on human right says there are 100 million homeless people in the world .One in three children in the world live without adequate shelter and there are about 2 million people who are living as refuges.
Can you read? Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read or sign their names.
Do you have freedom of worship? More than 75% of the world population live in places with severe religious restrictions.
Are you born again; filled with the Holy Ghost filled with other tongues? Out of the seven billion people on the earth, those who have genuine faith in Jesus Christ are not up to 70%; even among these born again, a lesser percentage of those have a real experience of Holy Ghost baptism so they don’t have access into the greater things of God.
Do you attend a church where the word of God is brought to your understanding?
Are you married? Do you have children after you got married? There are some who want to be married and are not married and; there are some who are married but do not have children.
Are you a grandparent? There are some who don’t live to be grandparents.
Do you have a husband or a wife who loves you?
Do you have parents who takes care of you?
The list can go on and on. When you really think about it and count your Blessings- you will see there are many blessings to count or Are there not?
