1 Cor. 2:9 “…. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard , neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that loves Him”
Eph. 3:20 “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly , abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us……”
Of all the things that God has prepared for you this year, what has come into your heart? If your heart can conceive it in Him, God will do it for you.
What has come into your heart? Of all that God has placed into your heart; what has come into your imagination? Have you imagined something? Has something come into your heart? Has a thought crossed your mind and as it crossed your mind you crossed it out? What has come into your heart? Because you need to know what has come into your heart so that you can know what to hold unto God for.
It is important that you know it for yourself so that your heart is not blank because God is willing to do exceedingly above what you have the heart for. But; something has to come first so that we will come to the place of the fullness of God.
What is this thing? It is the love of God. To the extent that you can comprehend God’s love, is what will define what comes into your heart that God can do for you.
A leper saw Jesus and said “ If you will, heal me…..” Now he understands that Jesus can heal him but he did not understand that He will. There are a lot of people who believe in what God can do but do not know if He would do it for them. Until you grasp, understand or comprehend the love of God as you ought to you will not know the fullness of what God will or can do for you.
Eph. 2: 17-19 “May Christ through your faith actually dwell settle down, abide, make his permanent home in your heart, may you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love that you might have the power and be strong to apprehend, so that you may have the power with all the saints, God’s devoted people what is the breadth and length and depth and height…. And to know God’s love which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God…..” amp.
If you do not have an understanding of God’s love, you cannot comprehend or arrest for yourself what God wants to do or what God can do for you. It cannot come into your heart; and if it cannot come into your heart God cannot do it for you.
What will make you have the power to apprehend or arrest for yourself what God wants to do? The first place our minds go to is the Holy Spirit, it is correct but what Paul is referring to here is the power of God’s love. When you do not understand the love of God, you do not have what it takes to arrest or take into yourself what God wants to do or will do for you. So, how you understand God’s love informs what you settle for in life.
You need to have an understanding of “What will He do for me because of His love”? That is what will make a difference in your life.
There are some things to appreciate about the love of God, the first is that God loves you the same as He loves Jesus (John 17:23) – In the same proportion and intent. The problem with us believers is that we do not believe in the love of God. Your faith cannot attain its maximum potential if you do not believe in the love of God.
He loves you unconditionally, He loves you irrevocably; He loves you. He has chosen to love you. God does not love you because you merited it; He loves you because He chose to.
That means before you were worth it, He loved you. You can never do enough to worth His love. God loves you for His own Son’s sake. You need to properly appreciate the love of God for you to grasp what He has for you.
In God’s love for Jesus He glorified Him (John 17:5) the same glory is also yours. The first appearance of glory had to do with stuff; the riches of heaven. God has not given you anything less than He gave Jesus, so let that inform what comes into your heart about what God is ready to do for you. Then He says that whatever comes into your heart He is topping it. He will do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think.
“…… that we may understand with all the saints, what is the length and breath, and height of God’s love….” Amp.
Do not sell yourself short. If you can conceive it in God, you will have God performing it and then will top it.
What has entered into your heart that you still want God to do for you this year? Are you selling yourself short? Is it a true reflection of the love of God for you? Can you look at it and say this is how much God loves me?
“For He that spares not His own Son but gave Him to us all, how shall he not together with him freely give us all things”
If you can conceive it in God, He will do it and He will top it.
