THE ROOT OF WORRY- 3 REV. ELEKIMA EKINE

Therefore I say stop being perpetually anxious and worried about your life, what you shall eat, shall drink……….” Matt 6:24 (amp)

“Humble yourself therefore under the mighty hand of God that he might exalt you in due time: casting your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:6,7

Worry comes because you have spoken earlier on-a contrary word about a situation, you have created a violation in the realm of the spirit. The violation you have made in the realm of the spirit is what birth worry and brings worry into  your life.

God describes humility as casting your care (1 Peter 5: 6,7) which means that  carrying your cares  is Worry. That is why a worrying heart is against the Lord. So every time you are worrying , you are wearing pride. Worry is pride and pride is sin against God.

“……he that is perverse in his speech and is a [self confident] fool’ Prov.19:1 amp

God sees you has being proud if you are worrying because He says – ‘this person thinks he can make things  happen that’s why he cannot leave it in my hands’. If you cannot  leave things  in God’s hands that means you are confident in  your own ability to make it happen. God is saying to you, one of the reasons why you are worrying is that you are proud. So worry comes out of self confidence so to speak- whatever is  the source of your self confidence becomes an instrument of pride in your life against God and whether  realize it or not out of that flows that you set your self up for worry and you set yourself up  for sin against God.

The last thing that makes you to worry is a lack of revelation of the love of God for you. A lack of revelation of your worth before God will make you worry. Where there is no revelation of love there is no understanding of your value there will be no confidence that you would be taken care of.

“But if God  so clothes the grass of the field which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothe you, O you of little faith” Matthew 6:30
