Gen. 41:50-52”And unto Joseph where born two sons beforethe years of the famine came which Asenath the daughter of Potipheral priest of On bare unto him, And Joseph called thename of the first born Manasseh : For God , said he hath made me forget all my toil , and my father’s house . And the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction”
What comes across clearly from the text is who is behind the fruitfulness. Joseph said it is God who caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction. When it comes to the matter of fruitfulness, you must knowwhere it comes from and who is behind it, it is God.
It is important for us to understand that with this word for 2013;God is creating a special season to make this fruitfulness happen more than ever before. He is saying “I have brought you to a place where fruitfulness should be the order of the day for you”, it is not something to wish or struggle for; He has brought you to a place where things ought to happen ‘extra’for you because it is in the now of your life.
Ephraim means Double Fruit, – Joseph said ‘in the land of my affliction that is when the double came’.
Gen 26:22-Isaac prospered in the midst of contrary situation;God still did what He wanted to do in his life in spite of the situation he is in. There is something that goes with fruitfulness, God creates a room; there is room for you to be fruitful in 2013. God made room for Isaac; He knew he cannot sow in the land without having a functioning well; God made the strivings over the wells he dug to stop.
Fruitfulness means enlargement; success; prosperity. Things may still be hard, rough and tough but God is saying in the midst of the toughness “I will make double happen for you; you are still going to be fruitful in the land where you had suffered”.
Child of God, be assured that with this word for the year 2013; in the very place that looks as if things aredifficult- that things are not breaking out forth, it will begin to break forth, and you are coming out of it better than you entered. In 2013 don’t expect the usual; it is a place in time, it is the season of fruitfulness for you and me.
God is the one behind these things for He is the source of yourfruitfulness. It doesn’t mean you should pursue fruitfulness – pursue God, because He is the one thatsays He will make you to be fruitful.
