It is our belief in Christ Chapel that it is up to the Church to pray God’s will into the earth because Jesus says: “I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven”. (Matthew 16:18-19). Jesus has given us the authority to release His will on earth through prayer.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43: 18, 19 (NIV)
“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him” Matt. 5:1 (KJV)
“When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed, climbed with him. Arriving at a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions…” Matt 5:1-2 (MSG.)
Why would Jesus seeing the multitudes go up a mountain? Somebody say maybe He wants to see them better or He wanted to be at the mountain peak to preach to them – may be you may be right but by scriptures you are not. He did it for a purpose.
Jesus’ ministry was drawing crowd and He thought ‘I want something new out of these people’ so He climbed. He did not call anybody to climb with Him but as the Bible says “those who are apprenticed to Him…climbed with Him; even though He wanted to take them He left it to their own decision then after; sat down and taught His climbing companions.
That means what he wanted to teach them was not for the multitude. He climbed to separate the men from the boys. He climbed to make something new with those who will climb with Him, to do something new with their lives. Prophetically, Jesus is climbing right now and He is going to look at those who will climb with Him because it is at that place that you will get the secret to answer to the world around you. You will not get the secrets of the times we are in being in the valley with the multitude because the multitude in the valley place signifies everybody doing the same thing, doing the usual, doing the normal, doing the status quo, fulfilling the routine and God wants to set people apart.
Yes we are all in Goshen but even in Goshen God wants to set people apart and He wants to say come up higher. God would do a new thing with you if you would also do a new thing with yourself. You cannot remain in the valley with the multitudes: the meaning which is that you do not know your left from your right and you cannot be acting as somebody who do not know his left from his right as a believer and expect the best from God. You must act intentionally and purposefully.
God is set to do a new thing, He said “I am going to do a new thing NOW...” It is already on, the new thing God wants to do in your marriage is already on, the new thing God wants to do in your finances, on your job, in your business is on, but as the Bible says “Can you not perceive it?” “Do you not see this?” “Are you not giving attention to it?” How do you give attention to it? Climb with Him. If you do not know what is on, pray that ‘Lord I consecrate myself to what is required of me’ .Pray also for help and enablement from God.
If you are in the place where you do not know this; tell God to make you part of it and help you know it. It you are sensing something already say ‘Lord help me, I consecrate myself to this stirring towards something that is in my spirit’
God wants to do something new NOW and it can spring forth, some of you need to consecrate yourself. There is something extra to your Christian testimony- Come out of the valley and Climb right now, no matter how young or old you are you can consecrate yourself to God. The boy Samuel was consecrated to God and he served in the temple diligently and faithfully. Let us come out of the mundane and mediocrity and come in excellence.
