It is our belief in Christ Chapel that it is up to the Church to pray God’s will into the earth because Jesus says: “I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven”. (Matthew 16:18-19). Jesus has given us the authority to release His will on earth through prayer.
‘And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. Joel 2:25-27
In getting restoration, the first thing you must learn is that it is not going to come because you run helter and skelter, hither and tither, up the mountain, down the valley. It is going to come because you seek the right source- from God almighty. It does not matter what you lost, do not leave God out of it – there is nothing to leave God out of because all things come from him.
When the suggestion came to Saul in 1 Samuel 9:6 “…let us go and see the man of God…” – there was nothing to he could give; if the servant did not have something they would not have gone to the man of God. This is what some people have done; they expended themselves, expended all resources, expended all their emotion and strength that they do not have what it takes to even seek God anymore. They have expended all hope as it were. May you not in pursuit of what you think is missing expend yourself to the place where when you now hear of the solution, you cannot even make an attempt.
David said, “Praise ye the Lord from whom all blessings flow…” all things are from him; there is nothing that you want in this year that is not in God. So you have to understand that it is God that you would seek for it.
You have to make that a priority. Cutting down on church attendance, how many times you go to church, on reading your bible, on your time of prayer is not what will bring the answer. By that I do not mean that you spend seven days in the week in the church. What I am saying is this; seeking God has to be a priority for us. Seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is still relevant now,
In I Samuel 30:7. After David quieted himself and encouraged himself – He asked for the priest to bring him the ‘Urim and the Thummim’ and he inquired of the Lord. He sought God. This is the step one of restoration – SEEK GOD
God is the source of restoration, the Bible says ‘who the heaven must hold up till the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21). He is that source of restoration. So seek him, God must be a priority in your life and in my life. He must not be the one you seek after all said and done. You have to seek him first.
