It is our belief in Christ Chapel that it is up to the Church to pray God’s will into the earth because Jesus says: “I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of heaven”. (Matthew 16:18-19). Jesus has given us the authority to release His will on earth through prayer.
‘And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
It is the YEAR of RESTORATION!
One of the things that the Bible says that God will do until Jesus comes is that he will restore all things. He is bringing restoration as part of the program He does before Jesus comes but for 2017, as a church and as a ministry restoration becomes the key word in your life. So, if in any way you have experienced a loss, a diminishing, a bringing down; God is saying it is time for you to cheer up because you will have restoration.
Somebody may say well…I don’t think have lost anything.
1 Peter 5: 10 ( ISV) says ‘after you have suffered a little while the God of all grace who called you by the messiah – Jesus to His eternal glory will restore you establish you , strengthen you and support you… You may not have lost something but have you suffered? Have you experienced some suffering? It says make you perfect, established, strengthen and settle you.
So if literarily, you’ve not lost something, but you know you suffered something; God says your restoration time is here.
Now what does it mean that he will restore you?
In the dictionary, restore means that to put again in possession of something; something that you once had. But you no longer have. It says to put back in possession. To restore you means to bring you back into a former state or original state, the state you were before. But the God I know, the God I serve doesn’t just bring you back into that state, he brings you back higher than that state, better than that state. When God restores, when God brings restoration; brings back, fixes you again child of God, he does not fix you back as you were before, he fix you back better than you were, so you look at yourself, you know you are not just a restored home furniture, you are better than where you were before.
God has the ability to do that – He can restore.
I don’t know whether you’ve heard of it, how that people who come to some crusades without eyeball in their eye sockets God does a miracle and he puts back the eyeball. We are coming back to those days. We are coming into those days where arms will be restored back, legs will be restored back, and kidneys will be restored back.
Your health is part of the restoration, God is going to put back parts, organs into your body and restore your body to the state that He wants you to be.
He will bring you back into use, you think you are no longer relevant, you are out of use, you are out of fashion, but God is going to restore you.
